Motion Brand Toolkit

MLS, the men's professional soccer league in the U.S. and Canada, has 29 teams (26 in the U.S. and 3 in Canada), each with a unique identity.

Tasked with crafting an animation toolkit for player portraits, we embarked on a mission to encapsulate the essence of MLS. Our journey involved conceptualizing, designing, and animating a visual language aligned with the client's vision.

Concept

Bold editorial

Embracing an editorial-style motion design look and feel, we approached the project with a modular mindset, allowing for seamless adaptability and versatility.

The challenge lay in harmonizing the toolkit with the diverse visual identities of each football club within the league. To address this, we adopted a minimalist aesthetic, accentuating typography and employing a restrained color palette.
